I have a penchant for doing big things (and giving myself some gray hair in the process) and so I am holding a "Job Opportunities Fair" where I have contacted businesses via cold call telephone , as well as spoke to the Port Chester Chamber of Commerce to see if any of the business owners would like to take on a teen (or even better, teens) for the summer, or year round employment. I have contacted a bunch of people (Playland, thank god is coming) as well as some internship opportunities (Thanks to White Plains hospital) a lot of people have not responded as of yet (hence the gray hairs). My program is April 21st (I don't even have to ask if I should be worried yet), with a pannel discussion April 14th. Any suggestions to see how I can lean on these buisnesses? I think a store visit would be good, or would that be too (for lack of a better term) desperate? I am open to all suggestions. As always, thanks in advance.
