School Visits Part 2

Well, so far so good. I have completed 3 out of the 4 public schools that the Port Chester Public Library services (the 4th should be done by Friday). Most of the teachers have been really good about visiting (I usually promise to keep it short, about five minutes) , with one teacher in paticular wanting me to come back to run a search class. Each time I leave I let them know that if they need anything not to hesitate to contact me at the library, and I can see what I can do. From everyone's experience, do I sit back now (after I'm done) and wait? Do I contact the schools, after a while and remind them that I can be of service to them? Has anyone visited the private schools as well? Just wondering what everyone has done.

School Visits

So far, the Middle Schools and High Schools have been pretty receptive to me visiting  (hopefully, this will estabilsh good relationships with the school system and myself and maybe, just maybe I'll get some advance notice for school assignments...). I started contacting everyone in late July, early August because I figured everyone would get my messages, and either respond in the beginning of the year, or before.  It actually, for once really worked out that way. I have meetings with everyone, pretty much firmed up. I'll let everyone know how it's going.
